Pressed Flowers

Collected and pressed in a traditional wooden flower press. Once dried they are arranged in the design you see and mounted on 300gsm cotton watercolour paper . 

My pressed flower artworks are set in white minimalist frames to accentuate the beauty of the botanicals.

Each Artwork captures the beauty and character of the botanicals in that moment. Although preserved, their unique nature will continue to change over time. Pressed botanicals will inevitably lose colour but will never lose their individual form and texture. To slow this process I advise placing your pressed flower artwork away from direct sunlight.

I celebrate this evolution as part of a flower’s ephemeral nature not a detraction from the beauty or value of the piece.
